Check Check is presented to you by Joel and Mini. We will be bringing you the best in ska and punk music from around the globe! We’ll take you on a magical journey of music, playing everything from the oldschoolers, like The Skatalites, to the present day ska kids, such as Less Than Jake. We’ll even be throwing in a few local bands for good measure! Some weeks we will have a theme, others we’ll just let music flow, and we’ll keep you up to date on where you can get your much needed doses of ska. So lace up your skanking boots, tune in and let the happy tunes fill you with a warm fuzzy feeling!!

Mini is 18 and a 1st year at Manchester Met Uni but originally from Leeds. She's into all sorts of music but mainly rock and the associated genres. She's a bit of a "ska-kid" but also somewhat a "metalhead"!! Two labels that don't really mix, we know! She LOVES going to gigs and festivals as often as she can afford - She's been to the Carling Leeds Festival for 6 years now, it's AWESOME! 3 of her favourite bands would have to be Incubus (who she's seen 3 times), The Used (seen 3 times), and Capdown (who she's seen 6 times!!) Check her out on Check Check where all the best ska tunes get played!

Joel is 19 years young and a 2nd year at Manchester Met Uni. He loves his music, and loves dancing like a fool even more. Although "ska" is his favourite kind of music, his favourite bands are Blink 182 and the Jam! You can find him presenting, along with Mini, Check Check; a showcase of the greatest ska and punk music to have graced the world.
