Robert Smythley was born in the vast green pastures of Sheffield. As a boy, Robert Smythley would wander along Sheffield's hilly meadows occasionally singing a song or two as he travelled with his lifelong crow companion, Clive, who were indeed great friends. He tried often to get on well with the folk of Sheffield but alas their superstitious ways got the better of them since, to them the crow represented death and famine and a fate worse than death that they didn'tunderstand so they decided to just stick with the death thing. Alas, they weren't having any of it so they spoke not to the accursed crow and the boy with curly hair...
