Underbelly | Iain Wright & Guests

Rock / Metal / Punk
Underbelly

Underbelly is a show for those of a heavy disposition. If you like going to gigs and dispensing pit justice, listening to things so loudly your ears constantly ring, and scare people with the way you dress, then Underbelly is for you.

All sides of Rock, Metal, Punk and any variation of these themes are catered for. The show is headed by various people, but the most recurring miscreants are Iain and Loz. These men have previously recorded an Underbelly so controversial it was banned and is now lost for ever.

If your humour is risqué, your music taste is heavy, and your hair is long, Underbelly is right up your street.

Iain Wright

Iain Wright

Iain is an enigmatic character. As well as hosting Underbelly with a host of people, he moonlights on The Martin & Iain Show as Robin to the notorious El Brez’s Batman ... without the tights though. Iain doesn’t do tights. Too restricting.

Iain is a Creative Writing Postgraduate-in-waiting, currently wasting his time trying to earn enough money to pay for said course, to no avail so far. He was seduced by the ‘dark side’ of the musical scale by his mother blasting Queen at him from an early age. "I can remember when I was three, I was listening to 'I Want It All' and I had a plastic acoustic guitar, and I played a note on it the same as Brian May, and I was so happy with myself I sat on the guitar, and wrenched the neck off it!"

Crude beginnings led to an innate sense of disdain for the world, repeatedly and semi-humorously spat out into the airwaves on his show, and an extrovert streak a mile wide.
